Clear is a soon-to-be-released to-do list app for iPhone. The teaser video shows off a slick gestural interface, which favors swiping, pinching, and zooming over the more typical tapping used by other apps in its category.

According to Clear’s Twitter feed, it will require iOS 5, which means it won’t run on anything anything older than the iPhone 3GS.

No word yet on how the app will be priced.

The UI looks like it may take some getting used to, but overall, Clear looks to be light years ahead of the disappointing Reminders app that I’m using now.

it’s frankly shocking to me that LEGO has created a set that essentially says to girls, “We know you don’t have the building, design and engineering skills to handle real LEGOs, so we’ve made you a special set that lets you pretend like you’re playing with LEGOs without actually doing any of the complicated work.”

There are a million other girl’s toys that reinforce the exact same stereotypes as these new LEGO sets, but none of them come with the history and brand promise of being a tool for exploration and creativity like LEGO. People are fired up over this particular toy because it feels like a betrayal.

Granted it’s only the beginning of January, but this is the best thing I’ve read all year.
